Bed Rail Recalls Alert!

  Bed Rail Recalls Alert!

Certain brands of bed rails have been recalled by their manufacturers and sellers.

Caregiver-Aid.com does not sell these brands of bed rails. However, we want to make sure that caregivers and seniors know that these particular brands of bed rails have been recalled.

Actually,  all bed rails must be used with caution for any patient. Bed rail entrapment occurs when a patient’s head, chest, or neck becomes entangled and trapped between bed frames, bed rails, and mattresses. Serious injuries or death can occur.   These particular brands and models have been involved in recent deaths of patients.  That is why they are being recalled.

The Nova portable bed rails sold at Caregiver-aid.com have not been recalled.

Finally, caregivers  should immediately check on the brands of their bed rails and  see if these brands of bed rails have been recalled. Patients who  are physically weak, communication-impaired, brain injured, have dementia or Alzheimer’s  or who  are continually confined to bed are vulnerable  for bed and bed rail entrapment.

Caregivers, act immediately to protect your loved ones.  Be safe and healthy at home!
